FAQs
Rejuvenate works on a wide range of surfaces including polypropylene, powder-coated aluminium, Laminex, composite decking panels, fibreglass, plastics, rubber and vinyl. It restores colour and shine to faded surfaces and provides protection against further UV degradation.
A simple test: wipe the surface with a damp cloth— how it looks while damp is what Rejuvenate will do to it for years (lasts 1-5 years depending on exposure levels).
Yes. Works very well on powder-coated aluminium including window frames, shutters and outdoor furniture. Wipe surfaces first with methylated spirits to remove dust and contaminants, then apply Rejuvenate as directed.
Sometimes. If the surface regains colour when damp, it should work. If there’s no visible change when you wet your damaged top, then Rejuvenate likely won’t be effective.
Yes, one of the tested applications. Wipe the area thoroughly with methylated spirits first (100% volatile, leaves no residue), then apply Rejuvenate as per the directions on the pack.
Yes. It works well on faded powder-coated aluminium and many plastics (e.g. outdoor chairs), provided the surface looks better when wet.
No. Rejuvenate is not designed for constant immersion. It can be used above the waterline (e.g. pool surrounds), but not inside pools or sinks.
Salt and scale is off white in colour and therefore won't darken when you apply Rejuvenate. Where present it is best to remove all salt and scale residuals first with Guard Remover Eco.
Methylated Spirits does a very good job of removing oils which may prevent Rejuvenation from properly enhancing the surface. It is also completely volatile so all the methylated spirits evaporates away, leaving no residual.
Soaps and other cleaners leave residuals which can impact the look, protective properties or longevity of the Rejuvenate coating.
Its primary purpose is restoring colour. It can add some shine, but avoid heavy application—multiple light coats give the best, longest-lasting result.
Apply very thin coats and always wipe off excess after each application. Multiple light applications are far better than one heavy coat, which can lead to peeling or delamination.
If exposed to moisture within 24 hours, water marking can occur. If this happens, remove with methylated spirits and reapply if needed.
Methylated spirits can safely be used to soften and remove the product from most surfaces.
It can be difficult to remove spills from porous materials (like bricks or concrete). Acetone is a more aggressive means of removal, but acetone will damage most coatings on hard surfaces, so use with caution!
Coverage varies, but as a guide, one 150ml bottle is enough for a standard double garage door. Cleaning the surface first will improve coverage and results.
Yes. As long as it hasn’t been overapplied, you can simply rub more on at any time in the future to restore the colour.
